The David Soto league began its operations informally, teaching Baseball classes in the municipality of Baní, Peravia province, giving internships to young people from the community where its founder lived. Thanks to this initiative, friends who knew about this activity were motivated to spread the word for the inclusion of sport to more young people in this sector, in such a way that the project grew and they were driven to formalize the league. The founder of the league, once transferred and established in the municipality of Cercado, San Juan province, we began with the search for a name. Among all of us who belonged at that time we decided to name it after its founder “David Soto”, formally starting the league in 2006. Since then we have been constantly growing, providing the opportunity to integrate all the young people in the sector into this sport, to grow within BaseBall. Currently we have signed 4 young people from the community of San Juan and 3 from Las Matas.
